Privacy policy
As a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), I adhere to the ACA Code of Ethics, which guides my practice with the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and client respect. I will ensure that my counselling practice is person-centred, maintaining a compassionate, non-judgmental, and inclusive approach. My dedication to ethical practice includes continuous self-reflection, maintaining clear boundaries, and upholding the principles of confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for client autonomy in all therapeutic interactions.
Client confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of my practice, and I am committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of those I work with. However, specific conditions under the ACA guidelines require me to break confidentiality. These situations include if I believe there is a risk of serious harm to the client or others if I am legally required to disclose information, or if the client provides consent for disclosure. To ensure that my practice remains ethical and effective, I will engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field and reflecting on my practice to provide the best possible care for my clients.
