About Me
I’m Niki - a counsellor who works gently, slowly, and with deep respect for the nervous system. I support adults who move through the world with sensitivity, creativity, and a quiet kind of strength. Many of the people who find me are neurodivergent, burnt out, or carrying long histories of coping alone. They’re tired of masking, tired of pushing, and longing for a space where they don’t have to perform.
Alongside my counselling work, I have training in art therapy and integrate art‑based therapeutic processes into sessions when it feels supportive. You don’t need to be “artistic” - these approaches simply offer another way to explore your inner world when words feel too tight, too small, or too far away.
My approach is grounded in sensory awareness, trauma‑informed care, and a belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to soften - not when we force ourselves to be different.
How I work
My sessions are quiet, grounding, and relational. We move slowly, following your nervous system rather than pushing past it. Some days we talk. Some days, we use art‑based processes to explore what words can’t reach. Some days we simply sit with what’s here.
My work is especially supportive for people navigating:
-
burnout and overwhelm
-
late-identified neurodivergence
-
masking fatigue
-
identity confusion or loss
-
creative disconnection
-
relational trauma
-
emotional shutdown or numbness
You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal. You don’t need to be “ready.” You don’t need to know what to say. You just need to show up as you are - and we’ll move gently from there.
A Space for you to Breathe
My practice is intentionally calm, sensory-friendly, and paced for people who feel overwhelmed by loud, bubbly, or fast-moving environments. If you’ve ever felt like therapy was “too much,” “too quick,” or “too intense,” this space is different.
Here, you can take your time.
Here, you can unmask slowly.
Here, you can be held without pressure.
